2-Year-Old Child Left in Hot Car in
Grand Prairie Hospitalized

Grand Prairie, TX  –  A child left inside a hot car Wednesday in Grand Prairie has been hospitalized in good condition, police say.

Grand Prairie police responded at about 3 p.m. to a shopping center near State Highway 360 and Camp Wisdom Road, where they said an elderly relative who was watching the 2-year-old girl had forgotten about the child in the backseat when going into a store.

The relative was inside for a brief time before remembering the child and calling for help, police said.

Medics transported the young girl to Medical Center Arlington, where she was responsive.  She was later taken to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth for further treatment.

Police said there have been no charges filed against the relative, but that could be possible.
